Complete your Nativity set
Use the scenery with figures you already own. Alternatively, create a peg doll Nativity Scene with our 40-piece Storytelling Peg People set.
The set includes all the people you need for the Nativity story. Choose Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, shepherds, angels and wise men. You do not need another peg people set to complete the characters.
After Christmas, use the same peg people to tell hundreds of other Bible stories. The 40 characters can represent more than 400 Bible people. Plus, the A–Z Character Directory helps you choose your characters.
Find the characters for each Nativity story
Our Bible Character Search shows which peg people to use for each story. Start with these Christmas stories:
- Gabriel visits Mary – Luke 1:26–38.
- Joseph’s dream – Matthew 1:18–25.
- The birth of Jesus – Luke 2:1–7.
- The shepherds visit Jesus – Luke 2:8–20.
- The wise men visit Jesus – Matthew 2:1–12.
Choose your story, gather the characters and use your handmade scenery to bring it to life.
Build the story with your Advent calendar
Our free Nativity Advent Calendar Cards feature these same stable, manger and star pieces. Pair the cards with your Advent calendar. Then add the suggested people, animals and scenery as you share the story each day.
You can also make the whole scene at once for Christmas storytelling and open-ended play.
Use your scene for family worship, Sabbath School, Sunday School, Christian classrooms or homeschool.
